Seven Contemplation Stations were created as part of the large retrospective Reading the River at the Museum De Domijnen in the Netherlands. Six of the Stations were sited along local streams and the seventh Station was placed inside the museum at the head of an indoor reflecting pool. The plant materials used for the sculptures were collected along nearby riverbanks. One of the sculptures was located on the Maas river, which forms part of the border between Belgium and the Netherlands.
